@annabelleronnfeldt: I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, run slow to run fast!! Do not neglect the low heart rate training!! You should not be completely out of breath every run you do. Most of your runs should be completed in zone 2 (60-70% of your max heart rate). Don't worry, I was skeptical at first! But if I have learnt anything from marathon training, it's that running with a low heart rate does work and you just need to trust the process. Every single one of my long runs leading into the marathon was 6:30-7:15min/km. At first it was hard, but once you get used to it, you actually start to enjoy your runs because you're not fighting for your life every time. If you're having trouble running slow and keeping a low heart rate, stop and walk for a bit until it drops back down, then pick up a run again. I still do this sometimes! No matter how frustrating it may be, be patient and trust the process #hybridathlete #Running #lowheartrate
