Hey everyone, I’ve got some sad news. Spirit Halloween stole my Spooky All Year design and have put me in a position where I felt it necessary to sue them. This is a company that I liked and I’m so disappointed in them. Theres a bit of drama. Here’s what happened. As you know, I sell wholesale to stores. A while back, I reached out to Spirit Halloween to see if they’d like to carry Ectogasm. I sent them my line sheet, which is a catelogue with all of my products, including the Spooky All Year design. They got back to me to say thank you and that they’d reach out to me if they thought my product would be a fit. It does appear they thought it’d be a fit, they just didn’t want to pay me for my artwork. When they opened doors for the Halloween season, one of my followers reached out to me to tell me that Spirit was selling an obvious low quality knockoff of my design. My lawyers reached out to Spirit to try to avoid a lawsuit, but Spirit refused to cooporate and would not provide us sales data we asked for. I had no choice but to sue them. The lawsuit has been filed. It’s hard to be a small business and it hurts to have these giant companies step all over you without remorse when they could be supporting you instead. Unfortunately, some companies only care about their bottom line and it appears Spirit is one of them. If you’d like to support me, please share this video.
