Rib cage pain is common throughout pregnancy due to your body shifting and changing to make room for a growing baby. Learning to mobilize your upper back can help with allowing your body to accommodate more for the changes that are occurring and allow for more movement and less pain. Try out these moves to help with opening up your chest, upper back, and allow for more movement in your rib cage to help with easing some pain and improve your overall mobility. Movements: 	1.	Sidelying open books: In a fetal position, work on opening your top arm up and over behind you as you inhale in. Try and work on breathing into your end position. You can work on looking your neck towards that opposite side to optimise your movement with these. 	2.	Thoracic Extensions: Using a foam roll, place it hortizontally on your upper back between your shoulder blades. Keep your knees bent and feet on the ground with your pelvis tucked under. Keep hands interlaced behind your neck and direct your head and upper back towards the ground to feel a stretch in your upper back, take a slow deep breath here and repeat.  	3.	Quadruped Thoracic Rotations: On all 4’s reach one hand under your opposite armpit and then as you inhale in direct that same hand up and back towards the ceiling as you rotate your upper back. Exhale to bring your arm back under your opposite armpit and repeat. 	4.
