Reviving a Neglected Aquarium: A Refreshing Transformation Welcome to our latest aquarium adventure where we tackle a neglected fish tank and bring it back to life! Today, I discovered the water in the tank had turned a troubling shade of green, and sadly, several small fish had perished. This prompted an urgent water change to restore the health of the aquarium. Despite the lack of a filtration system and the overpopulation of fish, which quickly dirties the water, I took steps to ensure a healthier environment for the aquatic life. After removing most of the water and the aquatic plants, I carefully relocated the remaining fish. Among them was a two-month-old fighting fish, which has shown remarkable growth. Interestingly, I found a crayfish shell, a natural occurrence as crayfish must shed their old shells to grow. I also rescued the snails and remaining small fish before thoroughly cleaning the tank. The transformation was completed by adding a bucket of pristine spring water from 1982, ensuring a fresh start for the tank's inhabitants. The reintroduction of aquatic plants and water hyacinths not only enhanced the tank's aesthetics but also improved its ecological balance.
