That’s absolutely crazy. In Nz it’s always recommended to vibe with the crowd while doing our job. You can’t turn around and watch the artist, but you can 100% sing along.

I work for film festivals and they have a similar rule. If you are going to get star struck then this isn’t the job for you. Trying to get around it is a neat idea, but I can see why they let you go.

I worked at her hospo shows in Melbourne and always volunteered to clock off as she started so I got to watch most of her shows all 3 nights and then quit afterwards. I had intended on leaving earlier
