as an engineer I immediately want to redesign this to use shorter aluminium tubes for a quicker and shorter heat transfer.....

I want one for garage but I'm not fully convinced, 'enough contact/time to exchange energy' being a key. And after a while new (colder) air sucked in collects around & starts being pulled out as used?
