I think British English is taught as the "proper" English all over Europe, but most of us use a mix of at least BE and AE, due to a lot of popular media being from the US😅

Aus has quite a few sister schools in Japan so there's a lot of short term learning exchanges. so not only are they learning Aussie English it's often RURAL Aussie English
