the thing is, it really isn't that cheap anymore. 2 x Alex drawers are 140, counter top can be 100 depending on model, and furniture feet add more.😳

or go to home depot and get a cutting board counter top in 4ft, 6ft or 8ft and put it on top of file cabinets you find on line for free.

not that cheap though. that top is almost $250, and each Alex drawer is currently $110 each. so after tax and shipping it'll be basically a $500 desk

In the 90s my mom used 2 half size file cabinets and an old wooden door, things she always managed to find for free. Bonus - the doorknob hole was used for the wires
