This doesn’t mean we have to limit your freedom to own a car, but that your freedom to own a car isn’t allowed to limit someone else’s freedom outside of a car. ##pededtriansafety##carculture##traffic##transit##chattanooga##tn##tennessee
it's crazy to me you can't walk safely anywhere. where I live in the UK public transport isn't good but I could safely walk from furthest south all the way to the top of Scotland if I wanted to

It’s a tiny tank 😳 We need to normalize golf carts before cars (and make the neighborhood safe for golf carts)

I remember being criminalized as a kid for cutting through yards. It was either trespass or add a literal hour to the walk

I’m so glad I grew up in the uk. We have dangerous roads but for the most part if everyone is following the rules it’s very safe. When my parents we’re comfortable with me going further there was bus

I'm in the uk so my perspective might be different but it's blame the local authority for not putting in an efficient crossing

Or you could also add crossing points where needed such as next to sports fields.

as an Amazon driver, who's forced to walk on busy roads or thru ppls lawns. Sidewalks & walking overpasses definitely need to become popular

I wish we could implement this is knoxville. I moved here last year I have been so frustrated by the roads and general lack of safety. I walk my dog on my neighborhood street and feel SO unsafe.

I'm temporarily working in Mt. Juliet TN and it made me think of you bc of how walkable the wealthiest areas were. sidewalks are behind fences and trees. very well lit, every crosswalk was a speedbump

A structure that allows pedestrians to pass over or under the street will easily solve the problem, without changing anything for the cars...
