we can actually make up memories (I did) Flying long hrs and scheduled so just made up the memory for missing days. memories came back after 6 weeks.

Childhood amnesia is also a factor in fragmented memories. People lose narrative structures of memories before 4-6 to a large degree, but still retain sensory or emotional fragments.
