They also serve dinner from Wednesday to Sunday. Founded by chef Reki Reinantha, who has honed his skills at Kisume, Bonny, and his pop-up restaurant Sachi in Carlton, Sachi is now a permanent fixture in Hawthorn. The restaurant is a collaboration between Reinantha and Ida Bagus Palguna, formerly of Cumulus. With their combined expertise, the food is nothing short of exceptional. Our experience: ❤️‍🔥 Chirashi Onigiri, Mentai: with ocean trout, this dish melted in our mouths; the delicate seaweed made it a 5/5. 🫶🏼 Eel Onigiri, Nori Cream: simply the best unagi I've ever had. 🍣 Salmon Chirashi Don, toasted seaweed & soup: light, delicate, perfect. 🍛 Sakana No Karaage Curry, scrambled egg, tsukemono: the best curry in ages, with crispy fish balls replacing the chicken.
