@brittney_saunders: If there’s one thing I could go back and tell my baby business owner self, it would be to take my time when hiring! Hiring your first employee or first couple of employees for most is usually a really exciting time when you’re still so fresh in your business journey and perhaps it’s your first time ever learning to become a boss like it was for me! Little do you realise in those early days, by hiring people you’re setting the tone for what your business will soon be. As fun, new and exciting as it can all seem, it’s actually so delicate and you’re making huge decisions that will impact the future of your business. Employees can make or absolutely break your business and hiring someone new is a decision that no owner should take lightly! Take your time with it, trust your gut, ask the questions and think of the future. Want to hear my in depth thoughts on hiring, interviews and staffing? it's so intimidating to hire someone that's not a friend, but then hiring a friend can be .... difficult 🤡

yess! I oversaw managers and their hiring, and the constant mantra I would say is that it's better to have less good people that fully staffed with the wrong people 👏
