As someone who had an IEP and ADHD and dyslexia I always got sad when my sisters would get rewards for there good grades while i couldn’t get any bc i had a harder time

As a kid who grew w/dyslexia, I hate punishments/rewards for grades! There were many concepts I didn’t get until much later, not for lack of trying/wanting. My brain simply hadn’t dev. in those areas.

We do small rewards for good grades or great efforts. We don’t punish for low grades, they are clearly struggling and don’t need to be made to feel worse.

I’m just kinda here :
My stepdad paid me, my brother and sister for our grades, they always got money and I rarely did because I didn’t get as good of grades. It always made me feel crappy.

i got payed for grade starting when i was in middle school but i have 504 plan, small group. it was so hard. i would try. i’d get punished for an F or a D. even if i studied but in high school my dad

Why are kids "rewarded" for things Grades, chore, attendance...they live under parents roof. "Well done" should suffice
