My first gyno exam was with a male practitioner and he was so kind and empathetic. He would explain absolutely everything before moving forward and made me feel comfortable

A male OB was the best one I had. He listened to women the most. I now go to a female GYN and she is great. I no longer need the OB part so I switched to just a GYN and it happens to be a woman.

I’ve heard this a lot. Mostly with obgyn’s. I think they just don’t have the same person/emotional bias and therefore are more likely to treat you better
