@justplanefit: Last week got to meet Captain Russel on the ramp and luckily I captured the pushback and his wave as he taxied by. The goal was my day would allow me the ability to capture his SAN-PHX leg which was his landing. I was all set for a runway 26 landing, when all of a sudden the ATC tower changed them to R25L! Uggggg, that meant I needed to run over to the other side of the garage! A little winded I got my 600mm zoom Panasonic camcorder ready. A very hot day in Phoenix made for some fun heat thermals causing the plane to float (what he told me) after reducing power and he put it down.
