as a former parts puller in a yard I can confirm this is how you take out ford bed bolts start with an impact and you will be cutting

The older style around 2008 when I was working in a body shop I broke more impact torx on those and seatbelt bolts

using torque wrenches to break loose bolts can damge internals. we have our torque wrenches calibrated frequently and have a snap on torque meter for checking accuracy of torque wrenches as well

now try it on a Ford truck that had some rust built up on the threads from years of being rained on. super rare here on the Oregon to have all the bolts come out no issue

Aluminum fords use a 20mm special head? The steel body uses a T50. Unless they changed it.

“Correct way” when I was spraying bedliners is just impact them, never had one strip or break thank god but didn’t know they were torqued so slow, keep it up bud 🤙🤙

That’s cool but where do you live where they’re not rusty and hammered in there tight af? I’ve tried breaker bars but I t broke my big twice so now it’s impact or grinder for all of them. 😭
