I think overall hair school owners look at it solely as a buisness and not a school. They just want to get as many in & out as fast as possible 💰💰💰

Currently a cosmo student in Texas and agree with this so much. Separate the licenses and teach what we’re going to use day to day in real life at school not just boards.

I went to snow college cosmetology and I had to teach students how to do extensions because the instructors wouldn’t. I also had to pay for extra color classes outside of school.

My beauty school that I went to did not allow us to perform full highlights on clients, no extensions, no balayage, no root tap/melts. Nothing. Been trying to save to take your extensions course!💗

I went to a small community college for cosmo. We learned how to pass our test. THAT’S IT. I learned two haircuts. We practiced highlights for two days. Nails were one day. Etc.

I went to PMTS in Hawaii and they offered an extension class but you had to pay for it out of pocket only like 5 students were able to do it. Kinda sad

paul mitchell in Louisville KY is trash they terminated me one month before I was supposed go graduate bcuz I wouldn't allow a teacher to bully me & I had never been in trouble before then they dogged me to another school for trying to finish somewhere else I had to do an extra 3 1/2 months

After TDLR changed the rules for the educators and their licensing for it everything truly went down hill. Most “educators” around do not know how to do extensions. My first “educator” was a barber.
