And just like that I’ve been building my container house for 7 months! Well actually … a bit closer to 8 now but I haven’t included the last few weeks in this one 🤭 It honestly feels like I started this build just yesterday AND a life time ago at the same time, it really has been such an incredible journey of growth and learning ✏️ But there is still such a long way to go and the wrap around deck that I’m currently building doubles the size of my container house so it’s not a quick job BUT it is a very exciting job! I’m using steel because I live in a high fire risk zone and have to (steel is also great for termites ) 🐜 Im completing the exterior first as all external welding needs to be done before any interior work otherwise a fire could start, 🔥 and I’m currently building the wrap around deck because I don’t have a level base for scaffolding or lifts which I need to get up and finish the roof and do exterior work 👩‍🏭 I’ll be milling my own timber for decking however that won’t go in until the house is almost complete so it stays pretty, in the meantime a temporary sturdy base will go on the deck for scaffolding (that I hopefully find soon at a reasonable price on marketplace 😂)
