I bf had this same job. i guess in order for me to go there without him there he had to fill out a paper especially since I wasn't on his card and wasn't paying upfront. he was paying online.

I work at nicer hotels, and I still deal with people who are trying to get keys to rooms that they should not have access to. The craziest one was a woman who hacked into her ex-boyfriend email (1/2)

The hotels that I’ve worked for usually have the same system, there’s an option to add accompanying guests or a note on who is allowed to check the room in.

That happened to me once. They don't give him the key but did give him the room number so he could bang on the door and make a scene. It was awful.

I had to move into a hotel while my house was repaired. I was an angry and stressed single mom. I snapped at the front desk lady - she handled me like a pro. I apologized profusely the entire 3 mo. 😳
