Does it make sense to use oil base in bathrooms/laundry rooms? I’ve always used oil based paint in areas with water and condensation. I feel like its more durable.

polycrylic is a different product though. its not just the water based version of polyurethane. polyurethane can come in oil or water based

I have used both for many years. If I am working to capture natural wood look then water base is my preference. The amber color over time takes a natural wood and makes it less attractive to me.

Do you recommend using old based for the inside of out cabinets? We don’t want to paint the inside but we want a nice finish to them

So, is it okay to use a waterbased wood conditioner and then use an oil-based stain? Floors have pee stains from prev owners’ dogs. Currently sanding by hand.
