This has nothing to do with CBum specifically - you could just as easily replace this with Ronnie, Arnold or virtually anyone with a top tier physique period. As counter intuitive as it might seem, bodybuilding really is one of those endeavours where you can’t just look at someone who has achieved a desirable result and then assume that simply copying their training is what will be best for you. When you’re dealing with a combination of world class genetics and performance enhancing drugs (and often in copious quantities), trying to learn purely through observation is going to have extreme limitations if not being entirely useless a lot of the time. I’m not at all discounting the huge amount of hard work that goes in... but the plain fact is that people in this category are going to achieve outstanding levels of muscularity even if what they’re doing would be far less than ideal for the majority of the population. You can study their workouts, diet and supplementation all you want, but you have almost no way of separating out correlation from causation. Does he have those massive striated delts BECAUSE of this particular exercise or that specific form tweak or this exact set and rep scheme... or would this actually be a very poor way for YOU to train and he has those huge shoulders despite it? Personal anecdotes can have their place, but it should always be balanced out with good supporting rationale as well. By all means follow your favorite bodybuilders if you find it motivating and test out different things to see how it goes for you... but just don’t do it blindly under the misguided impression that bigger muscles automatically equals better methodology.
