If it was just blood on the second dipstick I wouldn’t have given antibiotics so I agree with your GP. The blood is more likely to be PP bleeding rather than from a UTI

Dipsticks are based on colour change. Two people can read the same strip differently because they see the colours differently. Best option is always to send the sample to the lab, always push for that

I’m in the same position, I’m on my 4th antibiotics. Currently on nitrofurotin which is making me feel super ill and giving me headaches. The nhs are honestly so rubbish

Always make sure they send the sample to be properly tested, I had a UTI for months turns out it was cause by a bacteria resistant to like 90% of antibiotics and I needed a specific one😳

111 has become a life saver!!!!! my GP can’t be bothered to talk to me!!!! Instead they keep referring patients to ask first. Ppl will be dead before they get an answer from ask first

Every dip stick I have they end up sending them off to the lab because my utis never show up on a dipstick x
