It quite annoying tho cos now there’s nothing special about the brig cos the sloop was smaller and hade better agility the gallion had the most firepower and the brig WAS the fastest

Genuinely speaking irl smaller ships are faster than the bigger ships at least in sloop/gunboats, scooner, brig, frigatine, and glion/man of war

Why would you ever want flat sails into direct wind in the first place ? I’ve always angled my sails because that’s the logical thing to do less air resistance…. How was that not already a thing
