@jacobtempler: Scenic Scotland - Read Below 👇🏽 My dad and sister are going to Scotland this July, which got me thinking about how underrated Scotland really is. I’ve only been to Edinburgh and St. Andrews for a few days, but the country is absolutely stunning. Scotland is renowned for its scenic, dramatic landscapes - rugged mountains, rolling hills, picturesque lochs, and breathtaking coastlines. The ever-changing weather conditions, from misty moors to clear blue skies, add to the enchanting allure. Here are some of the most scenic places: 1 The Trossachs: The "miniature Highlands," offer a blend of lochs, mountains, forests, and picturesque villages. Loch Lomond, the largest freshwater loch in Scotland, is a centerpiece of the area. 2 Isle of Mull: With its rugged coastlines, sandy beaches, verdant hills, and ancient forests, the Isle of Mull is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Highlights include the colorful waterfront town of Tobermory and the photogenic cliffs of Staffa. 3 Loch Ness: Scotland's most famous loch, Loch Ness, offers not only the intrigue of the legendary Loch Ness Monster but also stunning scenery. Surrounded by lush greenery and rolling hills, the loch stretches for miles, offering breathtaking views. 4 Glen Coe: This iconic glen in the Scottish Highlands is renowned for its dramatic and atmospheric scenery, characterized by steep-sided mountains, cascading waterfalls, and a hauntingly beautiful atmosphere. 5 Isle of Skye: Known for its dramatic landscapes, the Isle of Skye boasts rugged mountains, stunning coastal cliffs, picturesque lochs, and otherworldly rock formations like the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing. The best way to get around Scotland is by renting a car. Some of these sites and others will require ferries to nearby islands (isles). Be aware of the time of year you’re going, as the experience can change dramatically from one to the next (and some places might be effectively inaccessible in certain conditions).
