On a trip there I was peeking over the edge to marvel at how high it was and had a worker go “it’s illegal to jump, yk 🙄” and then he just… kept walking 💀

I went down a rabbit hole reading about this before and a lot of people say there’s some kind of force or feeling near or on the bridge also the creator of Victoria’s secret did it there it’s crazy 🙈

If you go to ground zero in NYC it’s the same feeling. Also, people who somehow survive always say they regret it. It’s terrifying to regret it half way down.

when I worked in the bay, I decided to walk and watch the sunset alone on the bridge and had 2 officers come and ask if I was okay!!

my teacher in hs survived the jump. he told his story every year to the school and everytime it brought me to tears. that bridge is such a heavy place

i’m not sure if this is true but i also heard that many of the seals or sea lions will try to save those who jumped by trying to pull them to the surface

i’ve lived in the bay area my whole life and refuse to walk the bridge bc of the stories i’ve heard. people say it “calls” you to jump.. NO TYYYYY

I used to do search and rescue out there so I was always hearing the mariner radios. Hearing a jumper call sent chills every time. 😭 30 is an understatement. There were bridge jumpers nearly daily.

I live here. It’s a weirdly lonely city. Really hard to make friends. It’s a town of tech people. A lot of introverts. I’ve been living my best and worst life here.

My best friend in college jumped off a bridge in Pasadena and I spent a full week researching the thoughts of people while they fall. Haunted me that so many change their minds on the way down
