@sunevarbil: #stitch with @Lexi Baidaoui “you can’t dye patent leather.” I hear it all of the time and I’m here to say it’s VERY possible. This poor lady was told that anyone able to dye patent leather was lying(honestly see her entire tiktok). I mean no offense to cobblers, they have a world of knowledge, years of experience, and they can be the nicest people. But sometimes they pass on Dye jobs because dye can be a gamble and time consuming(especially if you have to troubleshoot dye issues. ) Sometimes you might dye an item and it doesn’t look quite right. Then you have to figure out just how to combine dyes to get the right color. Dyeing leather can be a learning curve, but it is possible.
