@becky.in.chicago: I live in a vintage Chicago condo, the kind with lots of exposed brick and dark wood trim. It has so much great character, but previous owners made some… interesting decisions. One of those was track lighting, which absolutely needed to go, but swapping out fixtures left holes and shadows that needed to be fixed — so I had a painter here this week! With every update I make, I’m mindful of honoring my home’s character, which generally means choosing vintage colors and decor.
