@meatloverspecial: heres my experience with the tips people often give for people traveling to japan! let me know if there were things that wouldve been good to know haha. while there were some bumps on this trip as there is in any vacation, i would love to go back again. maybe to the country side next. #japan #japantrip #japantips #tokyo #osaka #kyoto #fyp
It’s a legal requirement to have your passport with you at all times here 😂 that’s a very important tip

about the "keep your passport on you" that's not a tip, that's required by law. If you're a tourist you're required to have it on u at all times as identification, police officers can request it

Tip #4 was just so not true for Kyoto for some reason, so many good places require reservations and you cannot just walk in there 😭

I feel like everyone says taxis are expensive but they’ve been so reasonable?? Maybe in comparison to public transit they’re pricey?

Stairs and escalators (at least in Tokyo) you stand on the left and the right is for people to walk/run down

Also for slide 10, not sure if the type of phone you have matters but I have a 14(e-sim) and it does not have a carrier simlock which means its unlocked. So I was able to get an esim no problem🤷🏻♂️

i forgot to mention luggage delivery service. its definitely good if you can afford it and have less than four suitcases. theres also limited locations that do same delivery.

a lot of societal ‘rules’ in japan are not as absolute as many people think. overall i think its more important to look at what ppl around you are doing and follow them
