I can hear a corner of the internet screaming “you’re stealing their childhooooood!!!!” My kids were DYING to do two things with their phones when they got them… •Make silly videos with their siblings and stuffies •Send marco polos to grandma My mom LOVES chatting constantly with her grandkids… and their silly videos we project to the tv and they show the whole family! Things may change but I like that they’re learning about technology now instead of doing some weird binging when they move out. This always surprises my friends and family bc my husband and I support those who have been deeply affected by pornography. But it’s BC of that experience we start the kids acting responsibly at 10. OFC they have filters and permissions on their phones! The internet is a weird place… But we don’t panic or helicopter parent over them. Bc what we’re not going to kowtow to is this “screens are killing our youth” dialogue.
