@celeste.aria_: I’m in in Germany and amazon here is especially heinous but ive spent a few hours trying to find normal looking garment bags and the only reasonable stuff I found was from Ikea
even stuff that isnt ali express is slowly becoming the same bad quality but just higher price 😭

The weirdest thing - when I look for sth specific on Google, temu products will pop up as ads AND THEYRE THE MOST ACCURATE TO THE SEARCH. And I’d never buy from temu out of principle.

Have you tried going into a shop that sells houseware and asking? Sometimes i struggle searching online but just asking in a few shops works. (In Berlin)

I am so mad that amazon is just alitemu in expensive by now. And it feels so recent that it decayed. Like at least with prime in 2020 you‘d only get halfway serious brands but by now even that is not

you're not gonna get a quality garment bag for a dollar 💀

I see your point but the "original" absolutely wouldn't cost 1-2 dollars. Fabric has a cost and labor had a cost. Something made in a first world country would be at least 15euros per bag

Yesss and then you don’t trust any regular household products like I had the same issue with picture hooks

I live in Germany too, but I would never look for those items on Amazon. Especially not if I want to buy in bulk. Like towels, I always go to hotel suppliers for those. Also using german terminology.

the stuff on amazon is the same as on ali express or temu, just more expensive and with a logo on it that nobody recognises

if you’re in Europe you can almost always find a physical store with a somewhat good quality of the thing you’re looking for without it being insanely expensive. They just won’t be of American brands

I went to a seamstress in Berlin with cotton fabric and got her to make me some. Was an easy project for her and not to expensive. Maybe an option if all else fails

Yes, and at the same time physical stores are disappearing, so you have no choice but online.

Well, on Amazon, yeah. Try Jysk, Otto, Galeria/Karstadt, basically any Baumarkt…

most "regular shops" like houseware chain stores will have online stores where you can get these things
