Also if the thermostat has batteries installed inside of it , IT WILL NOT GO BLANK BECAUSE OF THE BATTERIES YOU MUST TAKE THEM OUT AND HOT WIRE THE THERMOSTAT CORRECTLY!

The item that you just pictured is not a pan switch it’s a SS2 switch and it has nothing to do with the drain pan fill it’s a secondary air handler drain safety ! A drain pan switch is different item
