The Second Anointing is a secret and sacred Mormon ritual that takes place after the Initiatory and the Endowment, sometiems called the “Second Endowment.” In the Second Anointing an apostle or high ranking leader washes the feet of the couple who is being anointed. Then a blessing is pronounced upon their heads calling them kings and queens, priests and priestesses, and that their calling and election have been made sure. Basically, that they are automatically exalted. This ordinance is unknown to the general membership and is only given to a select few. Based on the teachings of Joseph F.
