it absolutely WAS a torture device. after 12 years of braces, head gear, palette splitters, and various applications they gave up and did ortho surgery. 12 breaks in my jaws.

I was supposed to use headgear but never did, every time I came in they kept saying my bite was better and better. That orthodontist said I had the most beautiful bite when I was done with braces

unfortunately my lower jaw stopped growing at 10 so my only option was to have it broken in 3 spots and have it re constructed along with braces
