#PretendCookingShow: Peppermint Bark Ice Cream #KitchenAidAmbassador One of my favorite treats of the season is peppermint bark. But peppermint bark in ice cream form? Now that really jingles my bells! Refreshing and wintry. 🍨🌱🍫 Yum! #ad . Peppermint Bark Ice Cream adapted from @elanne 🌾✨ Ingredients: - 1 cup 2% milk - ⅔ cup half & half - 1 ½ cup heavy cream - ⅔ cup sugar - 1 teaspoon peppermint extract - 1 teaspoon vanilla - Pinch salt - For mix-ins: candy canes, chocolate bar . Directions (using your handy dandy @KitchenAid stand mixer attachments!): 1. Whisk together all of the ice cream ingredients in a bowl. Chill in the fridge for 24 hours. I’m not this organized, but for best results, chill the bowl you’re working with in the freezer for 24 hours before use! 2. Sometime while it’s chilling and your stand mixer is free, grate your chocolate with your #KitchenAid Food Grinder attachment. Hot tip: grating your chocolate makes for an even and smooth melt! 3. When ready, add the ice cream base to your frozen KitchenAid Stand Mixer Ice Cream Maker Attachment and churn churn churn— ~20-30 mins. 4. During the churn, melt your chocolate! Crush some candy canes to mix in and sprinkle on top, as well. 5. Add the melted chocolate to a plastic bag and, with about 5 mins left of mixing, pipe it into the churning ice cream base. Save some to drizzle on top. 6. Transfer to a freezer safe container, fold in your crushed candy canes, drizzle extra chocolate on top and store accordingly. 7. Yum! 🤶🏻
