Mmm I agree to an extent. I say you tip on things you could do yourself, but choose to have someone else do for you. For example, servers, valet drivers, hair dressers, etc.

I'm a server in a restaurant and I work hard. My paycheck at $4 hr. goes to Uncle Sam. I live on my tips and very grateful for those who appreciate my service.

In CA, the workers already get paid minimum wage, so the relying on tips excuse doesn’t even make sense. And we’re expected to tip 20%+ now even tho menu prices have gone up (which means tip ⬆️).

I remember when tipping was just an option. Now it's expected of you. I just don't tip if unless I want to..😁.. I already paid the expensive food. Now I also got to pay the server.. No thank you...

I heard that TIPS stands for “To Insure Proper Service”. Oftentimes it’s not even deserved, but they still feel entitled to it. I feel that overall there is a decline in good customer service.
