If you think praying 5 times is a lot , people used to pray 50 times but Muhammed PBUH lowered it by asking Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala

I imagine their (and maybe your) faces after knowing that before you had to do 50 prayers a day. But prophet SAW asked Allah SWT to shorten it multiple times, first to 45, then to 40, and until 5.
