@culinary.gardener: How to Grow Tea At Home. Grow Your Own Tea. Australian Vegetable Garden. Here are some more tips: #vegetablegarden #gardeningaustralia #tea Did you know you can grow your own tea at home? And no it's not the "tea tree". Some other tips i couldn't fit into the video: They really like part shade intead of full sun. They produce small white flowers through winter. If you don't know how to make acidic soil just buy a Rose soil potting mix. You can also turn it into white tea & yellow tea. The species has to be Camilia Senesis, other cultivars of Camilia aren't the plant we use for Tea.
So, I have massive camellias growing on my fence, been there for years (possibly 70s when the house was built), can I use those leaves in spring?

The problem is, the amount of money I would spend on this project to inevitably kill the plant is not worth it 😭 I’ll just buy the tea
