I was held accountable this week by @plzdontbuythat I’ve always been proud of how we make our home goods and keepsakes at @Curio Blvd 🫶🏼 When I saw so many of our customers were dealing with chronic illness or caring for someone who was, I knew I wanted to create bedding that felt safe, breathable, and healing. So I did. I sourced organic-certified fabrics, ditched polyester, and made sure every fiber felt intentional! But I messed up big time. I labeled our bamboo bedding as 100% organic bamboo- which, despite the organic certification of the raw bamboo, is actually against FTC guidelines. Because once bamboo is chemically processed into rayon, legally has to be labeled as “rayon made from bamboo.” So we’re reprinting hundreds of care labels and correcting our mistake. The fabric is still hypoallergenic, breathable, and safe- but once this batch is gone, we’re moving to a new material that’s even better for the planet. This could’ve gone very differently if another creator hadn’t called me in (kindly and directly!). Mallory- thank you. Your honesty helped me grow, and I’m lucky to now call you a friend!!
