Does anyone know why in the morning when I check the aurora northern lights tracker app it’s huge but when it gets later in the day so around night, it’s starts to go away completely?

Just checked an app that tracks the aurora. I know we aren’t in the southern hemisphere but is the southern parts of the world suposed to have a stronger field of aurora versus the northern parts?
