Try to book any tours/sight seeing ahead of time. The lines can be hours long to get them day of. Hop on hop off is actually a great way to get around and find good prices on tours/tickets

If you plan on going anywhere religious make sure to bring something to cover your shoulders and knees. It randomly DOWNPOURS but it doesn’t last very long. Try not to wear pain white tops just incase

also for purses - I like wearing something that fits crossbody so I have better view of it LOL (you can bring like a shoulder bag type of vibe, but make sure it has a zipper)

streets are tight especially in florence, lots of weird signage there specifically too

rome busses are never on time, make sure to stamp your ticket when you board or you’ll be profiled and fined $100 :))
