Why does everyone connect the cables in a different order? I was taught ground it (black) first then red on the dead bat then connect to the bat with power black then red

red (pos) on dead first, then black(grnd) on dead (preferribly a bolt that is connected to frame). then do the same thing on the charged battery. not hard.
