@lawnsingoodnick: 1. Don’t fall into the bad habit of mowing down the same lines every time you get the mower out. Mowing at different angles over winter will prevent wheel ruts in soggy soil and in general promotes healthy lateral growth 🍃 2. Mow taller to allow more photosynthesis from a longer leaf, greater protection from wear and tear as opposed to shorter grass which can thin and become boggy much quicker. If you’ve got problem spots that never filled in during the growing season a taller cut will also help to cover those up so they don’t stand out and look as unsightly 🤓 3. Be observant of the issues in your lawn that they can be fixed in spring. High spots that may need digging out, low spots that need top dressing, or even that one spot that looks awful in winter and now you think about it never really looks good in the growing season either, maybe a garden bed would go better there? 🌷 Gotta keep these lawns in the best shape possible over winter so that they rebound quickly in spring 🌼 #lawntok
