Did you ever get a cystatin-C level checked? If you have a higher than average lean muscle mass this may be a more accurate estimate of GFR

I was reading my own chart.😳 it said hypertensive chronic kidney disease. I was like why haven't said anything. they said you are OK. it's not really anything you worry about. NAW!!

Gee thanks for opening up. I’ve had CKD for over 15 years. My EGFR is around 35. But i am just monitored every 3 months

Kidney doc here. But this is not an official consult. Do tou take any gim supplements (like creatine)? You should stop them, stop any OCT. After. Few weeks off you can see ur creatinine again+

After crying for weeks at the possibility of stage 3a I’m waiting to see a nephrologist but I end up going to a holistic doctor he has me going plant based but first doing a kidney cleanse only red berries except cranberries I was also told to drink more water after hydration my levels are improving my egfr improved from 55 to 59 and my creatine improved from 1.26 to 1.2 so hydration is a huge issue for me I’m still going to see a nephrologist of course and make changes to my diet because I am getting older because the scare really put me down and I don’t want to take poor health into my 40’s

My momma was just diognosed this yestseday. I'm trying my best to help her. Her doctor didn't seem to tell her much and expected her to go online to find stuff out. There TOo much info that isn't true

been fighting it for 11 years. Had an injury that caused the problem. Now in stage 5 with a GFR of 12. Just had a fistula placed. went to Mayo Clinic and hoping to get on the transplant list.

I was in stage three as well i cut my coffee intake down to one cup a day drink more water and onlt take Ibuprofen if i really meed it. Im still on a high protein diet . I dropped back down to stage 2

I just found I have stage 3a Kidney disease! I had interstitial cycstitis for 15 years and been telling doctors my kidneys been hurting for 15 years!! Hang in there!!!
