I think the defense know he won’t recuse himself so if the case has to go to appeal court they’ll have a better chance at winning the appeal in my opinion.

You are correct that it’s everywhere. Trial court Judges love to say “I can do what I want until the appeals court says no.” Knowing damn well most often it’s not going to get to the point.

Agreed. I won a case in appellate, I went back in front of the same judge after that ruling to get my fees refunded…. He was pissed I won in appellate and quickly said no. ATL is not a real place
