What I did, I got poster board and taped the edges to the wall/tile. Then stuck on the wall paper, tile, etc

neither tape is renter friendly option depending on how long it's left and things like that. your best bet is to do your research on peel and stick tile. there are plenty of options out there that

Why didn’t someone tell me about the painters tape thing. I put tile directly on the wall. Had to readjust one and it took the coating from the plasterboard. Uh oh!

Take the painters tape off and just put the peel and stick tile on top of the tile much better option you’re gonna have a mess
