Bottom line: lcbo provides a tax revenue source for the government.. it makes no sense to privatize, this just means less money for public services and more money in private corporate pockets.

I miss living in BC where there was privately owned liquor stores (at least when I moved back in 2012) sure there was government ones. But most people I know didn’t shop there

So cashiers make almost 60k and managers around 108k and they want more. That's a pretty good salary for ringing up a customer and stocking shelves. Go on strike people will make do with beer and wine
