I thought we had it rough in Alberta because we had to wait a few months to get my daughters power chair with the tilt and lift features. Even bad public health care is better than private care I see.

my mom needed to go to the Dr in person (not telehealth) to get a wheelchair. but in order to go there in person she needed a wheelchair

Thanks for this one! My insurance covered a rollator a few years ago, so now they have assumed that obviously nothing else can ever be needed

This! Also if you have dynamic disability- you are only ever allowed to “get worse” ie- got a wheelchair, cannot have a walker. 🫠
