I can do dialogue just fine, I just struggle sm with action- he did this, he did that, she did this, she did that. I CANNOT write it and make it sound nice and ugh I hate it

tip for tip #1 I basically write my character's dialogues as if im playing a game of who said this, one of my characters is so unserious that's why their dialogues would have the same vibe😅

what I sometimes do as an "exercises" I watch dnd parties on yt or twitch the dialogs are not extremely good but it helps me to focus on voice and character

after I saw this, I've incorporated exercise 2 since then. Just straight dialogue and adding everything else after. it HELPED ME so much to actually find the writing style for me

i feel like the way i make them talk is gonna be annoying the reader. for example in a friendgroup: As the tv turned off Mary looked over at james frowning slightly “Could you not turn that off?” James smirked and quickly replied “I could…But why would i do that?” “Because you’re being a d##k James” Violet says from the kitchen
