There's nothing wrong with using tools the game gives you, but if you don't enjoy one of those tools then you don't need to use it. You decide how you wanna play, imma keep playing with bad builds

I would say use summons you’re first few games, have fun, explore and try different things. I’m on ng+7 and now I’ve started doing challenge runs like no summons and no hit runs
