Our family grandfather clock (aka tall case clock) is from 1771 and was made in Philadelphia. It has been in the family the entire time, which is all recorded inside it. I’ve got dibs on that one.

My grandfather has systematically torn down grandfather clocks to modernize them so they look minimalistic with all the moving parts visible. Those I want. Not the big cabinet thing
